What a balls up that is, Fuck me, it loses all perception of MUSE live.
Even Blue Leach managed to hang on to some of the confusion from REM Live DVD.

I saw MUSE in Glasgow and they blew me away as I am sure I mentioned on here, But seeing the Wembley DVD, it would not make me wasnt to see them, the music is great but you get no sense of the show they create.

I pre-ordered the CD+DVD edition of REM's new album ACCELERATE from Amazon uk, Believing I would get it on release day, well 5 days after release I get an email from them telling me "We're still trying to obtain the following item[s] you ordered", "Still want it? We'll keep on trying." "Estimated ship date: 06/05/08 - 21/05/08".
So despite pre order, they want 5 weeks after release date to try and obtain a copy for me, fucking cunts, if they couldn't match the release date why not tell me before?
I just hope my pal can pick up a copy for me in a local record shop in next day or so, cos they do seem to have them instore, just not in my neighbourhood, hence my pre-order.
I can't even cancel my pre-order till I know someone has picked me up a copy of the DVD+CD version I want. Bastards.

I have only just finished listening to it for the first time. I may or may not post a review when I have had a few more listens, but first impressions are Fuck Me it's a blast. Spanish F1 fans have let us all down. I am annoyed that this took place just outside my faveourite city in the world, Barcelona. After seeing the images of "blacked up" haters, F1 should punish the circuits big time. Tho I still love Barcelona, it is my happy place.

Just finished watching Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd.
It was fab.
I thought/hoped it would be Pan's Labyrinth of 2008.
But to compare the 2 films would be wrong.
It was almost as brilliant,
it was Tim Burton's forgivness.
I got what I wanted from Burton's film.
It was beautiful, it was satisfying.
The angles, the colours and a sondheim soundtrack was fantastic.
I will buy the dvd. But I know it just missed it's mark.
If I consider Pan's to be a 10/10,
Then Sweeny will be a 9/10.
It deserves a 9.25/10.

Mark Ronson's next single, I loved the album last year.
Valerie was outstanding. This Radiohead cover was ok, kinda cool.
Then I saw this video, it would have been really funny if Tom Yorke did the vocal.

The outfit, I was there & the fact that a day or so ago "ninetynights" showed said clips as part of the collection thats building, where Stipe talks about it being the 4th night 0f 5 rehearsals. This tune was called Disguised at the live rehearsals.

The rumours suggest that this will build into a live recording of some of the Dublin rehearsals from 2007. Night 2 clip seems to have been filmed from across the street from the Olympia Theatre. Oh god, I really don't know if I can keep this up for the next 88 nights.

Things to look forward to in 2008.
Obviously "My Boys" new album, which is rumoured to be called "Accelerate". A lot of fans seem unhappy about this, cos it's the name of a song played live in Dublin. Fans tend not to like the lack of imagination of albums named after songs. Although nothing is confirmed, I can see a certain reasoning behind the title. It's a bangin tune and went down well in Dublin, but personally if they gonna name it after a song I would obviously preffered "Horse To Water" tho according to rumoured track listings this song may not feature, or has been renamed, but would have liked it to be called "Staring down the barrell". Anyhoo the Album is due in U.K. March 31st, or April 1st in the U.S. Yes all the april fools jokes have been done. If the Dublin Rehearsals are anything to go by, the band will rock once again.

Other things to look forward to in 2008, err.....
going more than 6 or so weeks without thinking about suicide. A nice warm summer, fingers crossed. The people I love being happy. George Bush finally out of office. Britney Spears and Perez Hlton getting married and then releasing a sex tape of her with a strap on fucking him so hard till it bursts through his fat head. Damn, I think I better stop there. One of my favourite authors "Terry Pratchett" has been diagnosed with a very rare form of early onset Alzheimer's. Here's hoping it will be a long time till it takes it's toll. I have all his books and read them many times, on my dark days they can always make me smile, if only the real world could do the same.

I went to the supermarket today, and HE was in the queue in front of me, I pulled down my hat and pulled up my scarf to turn away so as we didn't have to make eye contact, came home and threw up gloriously, am still shaking, how fucked up is that? It's the first time I seen him in 20 months, and did everything to not acknowledge him.
Better news is my dear sweet Del is alive and well, I heard from him this evening and will see him in the week. I shaved my head well cropped it short for the first time in months, just need to force myself to shave properly now.
If your in the UK keep an eye out for the horrific Thorntons ad, I find it very disturbing, I am sure it's on youtube somewhere cos I can't be the only one.
